In recent years, the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into education has revolutionized teaching and learning, offering unprecedented opportunities for innovation. Yet, as history has shown, even the most exciting advancements can be overshadowed by unethical behavior, as seen in the cautionary tale of Milli Vanilli. In this dynamic and engaging session, Generative A.I. HELPS: Honorably Elevated Learning Product Supports, we will explore the ethical use of AI in education through five foundational principles: Do no harm, Make things better, Respect others, Be fair, and Care.
Participants will embark on a journey of exploration, learning how to harness AI tools to enhance instruction while upholding these ethical standards. Through interactive discussions and real-world examples, attendees will discover how these principles can guide their use of AI, ensuring that it contributes to responsible, effective, and meaningful outcomes in the classroom. By fostering a deeper understanding of the ethical landscape surrounding AI, this session empowers educators and leaders to navigate emerging technologies with integrity, avoiding the mistakes of the past and driving positive change in education.
