Wanda Hanley is an educator committed to transforming the classroom experience. Her teaching career in Wake County Public Schools spans over two decades and has included multiple teacher leadership and mentoring roles. Wanda's curiosity drives her to explore and integrate digital media with curriculum standards, continuously enriching teaching methods. As a lifelong learner, she passionately pursues innovative approaches to education. Currently serving as a Digital Learning Coordinator for the Wake County Public School System (WCPSS), Wanda is pivotal in supporting teachers and learning. She offers diverse services that empower others to effectively plan and utilize digital resources, ultimately advancing student learning. Wanda's dedication to teaching educators and students has earned her the prestigious ISTE Certification Award, a testament to her commitment to excellence. Her perfect score on the ISTE portfolio has been an inspiration to educators across the state. Connecting with others and growing her PLN has led Wanda to curate a professional learning experience for the NC Coaching Collaborative, hosted by DPI at various locations across the state. Here, she united technology coaches, fostering growth and exploration around the ISTE Coaching Standards. Wanda lives in Apex NC with her husband and enjoys camping, hiking, and all things outdoors as well as seeing her sons when they pop back in to visit.
