Hi, I’m Tammy Padgett, the librarian at Petree Elementary School! My passion is creating a welcoming space where students can explore, discover, and develop a love for reading. I believe that every student deserves access to books and resources that inspire them, and I’m committed to making the library a place where curiosity thrives. Whether it’s through storytelling, research projects, or tech-driven learning, I want to help students find their voice and expand their world through reading.

Let’s Make the Library the Heart of Learning! The library is more than just books—it’s a place to imagine, create, and grow! I encourage students to explore new stories, ask big questions, and embrace the joy of lifelong learning. Teachers, I’m here to support your classroom with resources, research tools, and collaborative projects. Stop by anytime—I’d love to help!
Fun Fact! When I’m not teaching library classes, you’ll usually find me working with technology, managing social media, or helping with school TV announcements. But when I step away from the screens, I love getting creative—quilting, sewing apparel and costumes for friends and family, junk journaling, exploring paper arts, or crafting with my family. I’m always mixing creativity with innovation!
