Jazz up learning and build connections with student clubs! Discover how we invigorated the middle school experience with an infusion of exploratory time. LEGO Robotics, Girls Who Code, Drama, GSA, and more have come together for a festival of learning, belonging, global awareness, and good times during Advisory periods. Explore a parade of possibilities encompassing technology, life skills, diversity, and career exploration. Student, faculty, and leadership perspectives will be shared for a full view of visioning and implementation.
This session will mimic a PD that I provided for our staff to introduce/refresh their knowledge on how to use Dash, Sphero, and Indi robots. Participants will engage in 3 different stations with hands on activities to get them using each robot. We will participate in a jigsaw activity at the end to discuss how they can use these tools in their own schools or how they can provide PD for their own staff.
Jump into the world of robotics designed for our youngest and most diverse learners, including Kindergarten, 1st-grade, and special education students! In this lively, hands-on session, you'll experience the joy of coding Bee-Bots through creative mazes, number lines, storytelling, STEM challenges and more! Participants will leave with a library of tested lesson plans for their young learners, (easily leveled up for older grades), as well as new ideas to get them rolling on their own journey.
