See how 1st and 3rd grade students collaborated on an animal unit to take a basic shoebox diorama, and turn it into a moving and interactive experience. First graders created habitat dioramas, and then worked with their third grade partners to come up with an animal that would fit nicely in the model. Using the design process, third grade students had to create an animal with the constraints to fit into the diorama.
