The impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) today is transforming education and has forced educators to rethink instruction, curriculum development, and assessment. This presentation sheds lights into the academic setting experiences, challenges, and identified strategies in which AI can be integrated into the teaching and learning experience. The presentation will explore ethical dilemmas and identify ways in which we can leverage AI in education with the goal of improving learning outcomes while enhancing pedagogy.
Finally, strategies to address the implementation of AI and AI tools into the teaching and learning environment will be explored with the goal of meeting the needs of our technological astute learners while enhancing instruction and curriculum development.
Objectives: 1. Articulate the important principles and practical uses of AI in education. 2. Identify the challenges, concerns, and ethical considerations regarding the use of AI and AI tools in education. 3. Explore strategies in which AI tools can be incorporated into the teaching and learning environment. Moreover, participants will have the chance to reflect and consider ideas for professional development opportunities aimed at enhancing their competencies in AI tools.
