I am Amber Colon, an experienced educator with over 10 years of classroom teaching experience. I earned my Masters in Science from the University of North Carolina Wilmington in 2020. My career highlights include being named Belville Elementary Teacher of the Year and Rookie Teacher of the Year in 2016-2017 and 2020-2021.
I am currently serving as an Educational Technology Specialist at UNCW from August 2022 to present. In this role, I provide distance education support, assist with technology integration, and deliver professional development.

I am Google Certified at Levels 1 and 2 and hold an AIG Licensure for grades K-5. I am skilled in a variety of technology programs, including MS Office, Prezi, Adobe Express, Canva, and HTML/PHP coding. With my background in elementary education and educational technology, I am particularly interested in bridging the gap between technology and learning. I am eager to continue applying my skills to new challenges and opportunities.
