Ms. Kanipe is in her 28th year with McDowell County Schools, where she dedicated 12 years as a 5th-grade teacher before transitioning into her role as an Instructional Technology Facilitator, which she has held for 12 years. Currently in her fifth year as Teacher Support Coordinator, she also leads efforts in coordinating Lead Teachers and supporting National Board Candidates.
Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s in Educational Media and School Administration, she is deeply passionate about fostering a love for learning in both students and educators. A lifelong resident of Marion, she enjoys spending time with her two daughters, ages nine and three.
